Paper Flowers For Anniversary
Do you ever think about which flower should be bought for a 25th anniversary? Neither do I. But let me tell you how I ended up making them for this special occasion.

A long time ago, in the middle of the desert, one man dreamed about an oasis. And not just any oasis where there is water or flowers, but more. He dreamed about a place that gathers all kinds of people together by their love for art. His name is Dariush Zandi, and he did an amazing job building Courtyard, a real oasis.

On the 25th year of the oasis’s prosperity, I was honoured to visit it as a participant in one of the many markets. I brought my posters and met the owner and manager of Total Arts Gallery. That's how they noticed me and suggested a collaboration. They asked me to create a flower collection for the 25th anniversary based on my current works — stitched postcards. I was given paper which suited the idea of Courtyard shop.
Process from research and sketches to final pieces:
And now, I am happy to introduce the final postcards that were sold
in Courtyard Shop last summer.
I created a collection of flowers inspired by nature, carefully preserved inside the yard. To do so,
I used vintage paper from books, wrapping paper, leftovers, and craft paper provided by Courtyard. First of all, I drew sketches, looking for the right shapes. After this, I cut out the flowers and combined them with a background. In the end, I stitched the pieces together.
Thank you for watching!
